I'm Riding For

If you know me, you know I've done this several times before, but not for a while. I'm out of shape and haven't ridden this summer, but this cause is dear to my heart after watching my daughter suffer and barely survive this nasty disease! I've ridden for her in the past, for my son-in-law Symon, who did not make it, my sister in law Nicole, who did not win, and for my parents, also victims of this thing I won't honor with a name. My brother has survived it and several friends. It's hard for anyone, but no child should ever have to face this battle or suffer this fate so I am riding again in honor of my best friend Jennifer, who is fighting right now with everything she has to stay alive for her family. I'm riding FOR the children so that treatments and research continues to advance and less and less of them will have to suffer. Please consider donating ANYTHING to help.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. Research has allowed children like my daughter to receive treatment to survive this awful disease, but so much still needs to be discovered and applied.
