Tyler Luedtke
As many of my friends know, my grandson, Tyler Luedtke, lost his battle to Neuroblastoma in October of 2006, at just 5 years old. Tyler spent a year in Seattle at Children's Hospital. His treatment (at just 2 to 3 years old) included a major surgery to remove a large tumor, followed by chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant. He wasn't able to leave the hospital for a year. Yet, through it all, he often had an incredible great sense of humor, an amazing big smile, and an infectious laugh. One of his biggest wishes was to go to school, which he achieved, while simultaneously receiving out-patient care in the Tri-Cities, WA. He was able to go to preschool and start kindergarten. He made friends with everyone he met and became an inspiration to so many people! I know he would have achieved all of his goals and done many great things in his life! My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Today I Crossed the Finish Line!
29 Sep 2026Yippee 🥳!! I crossed the finish line of the 2026 Great Cycle Challenge today! I rode 257 miles this month! A little past my goal of 250 miles! Thanks to my awesome supporters, we contributed over $1042 to go towards Children’s Cancer Research Fund! Just so you know, they’re leaving the challenge open for a another month for anyone else who would like to make a donation!
I’ve enjoyed riding and being a part of this great cause! I’m also looking forward to doing it again in September of 2027! I hope I can encourage some of my friends and family to join me!
