I'm Riding For

Tyler Luedtke

As many of my friends know, my grandson, Tyler Luedtke, lost his battle to Neuroblastoma in October of 2006, at just 5 years old. Tyler spent a year in Seattle at Children's Hospital. His treatment (at just 2 to 3 years old) included a major surgery to remove a large tumor, followed by chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant. He wasn't able to leave the hospital for a year. Yet, through it all, he often had an incredible great sense of humor, an amazing big smile, and an infectious laugh. One of his biggest wishes was to go to school, which he achieved, while simultaneously receiving out-patient care in the Tri-Cities, WA. He was able to go to preschool and start kindergarten. He made friends with everyone he met and became an inspiration to so many people! I know he would have achieved all of his goals and done many great things in his life!
