This September, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer.

Why? Because cancer remains the biggest disease-related killer of children in the United States. Every year, thousands of children are diagnosed, and far too many loose their lives to this disease.

This cause is especially close to my heart. Someone very close to my family was diagnosed with cancer, and we experienced firsthand the emotional and financial challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care, support, and charity assistance provided through Emory Healthcare during that difficult time.

That experience showed me how important access to lifesaving treatments, research, and support systems are for families facing cancer. Kids should be living life, making memories, and chasing their dreams, not fighting cancer.

I’m raising funds through the Great Cycle Challenge to support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and help advance research, develop better treatments, and bring us closer to a cure for childhood cancer.
