In 2020 i rode for little Maddie in my neighborhood who has miraculously recovered from cancer and is now NED (no evidence of disease). I am ecstatic! But i also had to say good bye to my big sis Estee in July of 2021 who was only diagnosed in January of that year. This year i am dedicating my rides to 3 very special people who is fighting cancer today: 1) my brother in law, Philip van Achterbergh 2) my cousin Susan Carstens and 3) a dear family friend Ds Blikkies Lets continue to support the fight against kids cancer

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
