I'm Riding For
I am riding in memory of Averi Lane Smith my grand daughter who passed away at the age of 17.
Averi was a fighter. Her mantra was "All Smiles No Tears." Her battle with cancer began at the age of 17 months when she was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor a form of kidney cancer. With God's grace and fantastic doctors she won her battle and was cancer free until the age of 16 when she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a form of bone cancer most likely caused by the aggressive treatment of her first diagnosis. I know she is looking down saying "Go Nana you got this!" PLEASE help me make her proud and donate what ever you can and I will do my best to make her and each one of you proud by riding 200 miles. Let's Kick Cancers Butt and help find a cure!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
