In September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer, again!

This year it is personal again. 2 years ago my wife's cousin's now 3 year old grandson, Max, stopped walking. He was diagnosed with brain cancer. I would say “fortunately” I am riding for Max again because he is still fighting. He has had his ups and downs and multiple procedures. He’s tough as many children and their families as they work through these difficult times.

Consider contributing to my fund raising goal. My goal this year is $2,000. We blew that away last year, let’s do that again! 200 miles in September is my riding goal but goals can be exceeded. Thanks for all who have contributed in the past and consider again this year. I have upped my dollar goal this year, $2,000. I welcome new patrons and this year I am riding with increased purpose and spirit.

Why? Because right now, cancer is unfair for anyone and it is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
