IN MEMORIAM-Blair Sinchai, my former student.

Blair Sinchai was my bass student in middle school and one year of high school before he passed away from bone cancer. He was a very sensitive young man who loved nature, music, and was very kind to others. I know his family misses him terribly I want to honor his memory.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

I am riding this year in memory of BLAIR SINCHAI, my former bass student who passed away from bone cancer September 1, 2021. Blair was a very dear soul who loved nature, music, and was a very sensitive person. I miss him and share the loss his family experienced.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

My student Blair had just finished freshman year of high school, was planning an audition for the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra in mid-July, and then contacted me from the hospital in early July asking if he could submit his video later because he was in hospital. He never made it and passed away Sept 1st, just 8 weeks later. So tragic. I hope your grandson's treatment continues to go well and that he recovers fully. Best to you and all of yours! BOB”
