My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Bike is down for a few days healing in process
9 Sep 2026My main bike is down for a few days
On my way into work last night the rear brakes went out
Hopefully we can have it repaired and back up next week
In the mean time we will be using a backup bike
Como with some time on a stationary bike at our local gymn to get in the miles necessary to stay on target 🎯 for our goal of 250 miles
Positive is there is only 136 miles remaining
This time with the bike down for repair will also give my body some much needed time to heal from this upper respiratory infection
This isn't the end we aren't done we just believe this is the Lord giving us some much needed rest to heal stay tuned for more updates
Thanks
Your
Gcc rider

Sunday Sunrise Ride #4
6 Sep 2026Just a end of the week update
In the first partial week of the challenge we were able to get in nearly 70 miles in the first 5 days
This morning before church and before sunrise we were able to get in our second longest ride we've ridden to date with another 20 miles
Bringing our 6 day total to nearly 90 miles on a goal of 250 an a personal goal of 300 miles in 30 days
As of right now our donation goal stands at $558 remaining out of $2,500
This Wednesday September 9th will be match day all donations given on Wednesday will be matched by great cycle and children's cancer research
With that said we will only need a donation of $279 to make this year's goal which I am very much excited about!!!!
The picture attached is of a rare deer I got to see out in nature on Saturday on my morning ride wich is called a pie-bald it is a genetic mutation if a white tail and an albino deer crossed
Truly beautiful I had only ever seen them on trail cams never in person it was breath taking to see this part of God's creation!!!!
Please stay tuned for more updates in the days and weeks to come
Thanks Shawn
