Kenny King

Kenny King

Kenny was a beautiful little boy who enjoyed playing outside with his older siblings. Kenny's bright brown eyes and blonde hair made him a hit with all the ladies in the neighborhood and at church. In early January of 1968, Kenny starting feeling tired all the time and would frequently take naps. Our mother, Marty, and father, Chuck, had Kenny checked out at Bronson Hospital, but after exploratory surgery it was decided to bring Kenny to what is now known as Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. Kenny was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, and chemotherapy was the best course of treatment at the time. (this cancer is still rarely survived by children under the age of five). Kenny lived until two months past his fourth birthday and passed away on 8/2/1968. His sister, Laurie, lived until the age of 62 when she died from ovarian cancer. Our dad, Chuck, lived to 54 and died from liver cancer. Chuck's twin brother, John, died at 78 from pancreatic cancer. My rides over the course of these 30 days in September will be to honor these family members whom I loved and miss deeply. Thank you for your donation, large or small, as we fight cancer for those who can't.

My Story

7 Jan 2026

For the month of September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
