My Story
Sept 11 update:
At the start of Sept, my brother Rick got a biopsy on a mass near his spine. We just got the results back a few days ago...not malignant/negative! So this is a huge relief. He will still need to get the mass removed this year and that may still be tricky, but we are enjoying the negative malignancy report for now.
In mid-July I had a tumor removed from a salivary gland in my cheek. Luckily, that too was not malignant, though the recovery was rough with a complication that took it into late August. What a summer! Anyhow, we are back at it, riding now focused again on these little kids who were not lucky with their diagnosis...
During September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
