This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer. I am specifically dedicating my ride to a friend’s young son, Zachary.

Three days before Zachary’s 4th Birthday he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He had 6 months of frontline chemo and immunotherapy that helped reduce but unfortunately not eliminate the cancer in his bone marrow.

Earlier this year he had a stem cell transplant from a donor in Germany and was in hospital for about 2 months.

Zachary has been a brave little warrior through it all and we thank God that his latest tests show no sign of cancer and that his cells are 100% donor cells! He is currently on many profalactic medication and has an NG tube and lumen line in his chest, but we hope that they will be removed in the next few months if tests continue to be good and that he can start school in Sept.
