My Story

15 Jul 2026

During the month of September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Over 15,700 US children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Again this year, I am raising funds in memory of my young cousins Rowan Grace and Bailey. My ride challenge is focussed on helping other kids/young adults and supporting Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change lives.

Thank you sincerely. Terri

  • GCC 6 (but it’s 7 on the app cause I did 2 one day)
    8 Sep 2026

Went to Minnehaha Park for this morning’s 7.65 mile ride. I was running the GCC app along with my “Ride with GPS” app, and right at the end of my ride I completely lost all of the GCC app ride logging. Sadly, I have to manually add this one. That’s why I run two apps but here’s the map and pic

  • GCC 5 - CCLP On crowded Labor Day
    8 Sep 2026

Tried the Raleigh because the handles were hiring and act more like a cruise type bike, but the seat has a ring in it, so it actually made me feel unstable since my left wrist is sprained, and therefore I think it was putting a little more strain holding on. It’ll be back to old blue for future rides.

    8 Sep 2026

Just gotta keep paddling for the kids while at the same time trying not to use my left sprained hand/wrist much except for balance… So low miles this year per ride, but I’ll get there. I promise.

“God bless you and the LYM foundation. We’ve all got to keep trying to help in this fight against childhood cancer. My part is small compared to all my sponsors! And your thoughtful and generous donation goes a long way in helping to fund research for better treatments and one day a cure, I pray. I think about Bailey and Rowan, and all the children battling cancer now, as I pedal mile after mile. I will keep my promise to finish the challenge and am blessed and thankful to have so much support from family and friends for my ride but mostly for this extremely important cause. I love you cousin. Big hug.”

“Ahhh, my sweet cousin…what a generous donation to sponsor my ‘26 challenge for a cause that we both hold near and dear to our hearts, for sure. Every September, I look forward to pushing myself to not only ride, but to raise money for the little angels that are fighting cancer right now! Personally, I also ride in memory of dearest Rowan Grace and my other cousin Bailey. On quiet solo rides, I lift them and the family up in prayer and remember those sweet girls so fondly. God bless you and thank you very much for your support of this cycle challenge I undertake! (FYI: your wonderful contribution put my fundraising over $500 to date, so GCC will now send me the 2026 GCC jersey. I will wear it and ride with pride for this amazing cause and gratitude to you and all my sponsors. Peace and Hugs.”

But you have my pledge, regardless of sprains and dings and aches, that I’m gonna keep riding little by little because I can’t even imagine what the dear children go through to fight their cancer daily. They all need to be living life and not fighting for it! My sincere thanks for this donation. God bless you.”

“THANK YOU SO MUCH, SUNSHINE! I needed a little boost today as I prepare to start a month long challenge. We’re gonna have over 100° for about a week. Ugh. Kick Off day is important. I just noticed also that you shared my page on your Facebook - that means a lot to me! If any of your friends feel like even chipping in that would be amazing. Sadly, one of our GCC ambassadors named Kylie just passed away a few days ago. This cause is near and dear to me and raising money for children’s cancer research is just something I need to do. I love you to the moon and back, sweetie . Thank you for sponsoring and supporting your old mom XOXO”
