I'm Riding For
Bill Shannon father in-law,

Bill Shannon was my friend and father-in-law for 29 1/2 years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and father-in-law. He was a super guy who would do anything for anyone. Cancer took him last February leaving a hole in anyone and everyone’s heart who knew him. Cancer really does suck, it does not care who it attacks. Young or old a grown-up or child. No one deserves to suffer from cancer, especially a child. Please won't you support my ride with a donation of any size, no amount is too small. Please help me to help win the battle against childhood cancer.
My Story
Hello,
This year this ride is really personal to me. Some of you may already know this, but in February we lost my father-in-law and friend Bill Shannon to liver cancer. This disease took him very quickly. Two weeks after being diagnosed he was gone, it was that quick. Cancer is a terrible disease and nobody should have to suffer from this disease, especially children.
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
