This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I will be riding this year to honor the memory of David Vaccari, III who passed away from cancer 32 yrs ago at the too young age of four.

As a cancer survivor myself, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Ps. The Great Cycle Challenge donates approximately 81% of its donations directly to programs, with the remainder going to administrative and fundraising costs. This is a strong percentage, as industry standards for "excellent" charities range from 75% to 85%. The organization, which raises funds for the Children's Cancer Research Fund, has a high rating for transparency from GuideStar.
