🚴‍♂️ This September, I’m riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer—and I’m doing it in memory of someone incredibly special: Sawyer Kuljis. Sawyer was diagnosed with stage 4 Childhood Extracranial Germ Cell Cancer at just 16 years old in March 2024. This rare and aggressive cancer spread rapidly to his brain, liver, abdomen, lungs, and sternum. He bravely endured 8 months of chemotherapy and began a stem cell transplant in December. Sadly, Sawyer lost his courageous battle on January 7, 2025. Before his diagnosis, Sawyer was full of life—he loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. His spirit, strength, and smile touched everyone who knew him. I’m riding to honor Sawyer’s memory and to help fund research that gives other kids a fighting chance. Every mile I ride and every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure.
