Colt

From the COLT 45 STRONG Facebook group: On May 2nd, 2021, our lives were totally and irrevocably changed when our 10-year-old son, Colt, was diagnosed with leukemia. AML. He was treated at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY. He went through cycles of aggressive treatment and then had a bone marrow transplant November 1st. His little brother Jack was his perfect donor match! After leaving the hospital in December he has been treated at Roswell Park. He has had the best care by all at OCH and Roswell. Colt spent from December until February 9th at the Ronald McDonald House of Western NY. He was able to ring the bell at Roswell to celebrate remission and day 100 days post-transplant. He continues to go to Roswell weekly and is doing all he can to stay strong and works hard every day to get better. We know this journey is far from over but we stay strong and always remain fight ready. We hope that by reading and following our story, you can keep updated on Colt’s progress and people can offer support. We also hope to raise awareness that pediatric cancer is real, and affects families every day.

My Story

1 Sep 2024

This September, I am taking part in my third Great Cycle Challenge and biking 545 miles to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because my cousin's 12-year-old son Colt has been fighting leukemia since May 2021. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help kids like Colt and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
