This September I will be participating in my 1st Great Cycle Challenge.

The purpose of this month long event is to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. I am fortunate to be able to ride a bike. There are many kids that will never have the opportunity to reach my age, or even have the chance to ride a bike, as cancer will end their life much too early.

While there have been tremendous progress in fighting pediatric cancer, it is still impacting the health of lives of too many kids.

So, I am raising funds for the Children's Cancer Research Fund to help find a cure. The money you donate will allow them to continue their work in funding lifesaving research. Every dollar donated is one more step closer to helping another child beat this disease.

A word about my goals. My riding goal is 125 miles in honor to Bill H. He was

Diagnosed with Glioblastoma, it is a stage/grade 4 tumor in his brain. He is 72 year old retired law enforcement and corrections officer of 40 years husband, father of 5, grandfather of 14. In his retirement he was pouring love back into the Quincy school system as behavior support specialist supporting students in the high school and middle school. My fundraising goal is $1,000 to beat kids' cancer. A HUGE thanks to everyone who has helped me reach my goal. I would not only like to reach my goal but go above it. We all have had a loved one that has had Cancer or does has it and is fighting the battle right now. If you don't have a loved one that had cancer, do you know someone that is a survivor?
