This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? It is easy to look past the needs of a few when the world has so many people suffering in one way or another. But when a family member is diagnosed with something it does become personal. So my attention has been raised to try and support a mission that will help many families that are struggling with children’s cancer.

Here are a few statistics I was not aware of.

Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Children should not be fighting cancer daily, they should do something creative, spend time playing and build a future of good memories.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
