During the pandemic I had felt like I hit a slump. With a child on the way and an important exam on the horizon, I suddenly felt like I wasn’t capable of rising to the challenges.

My first year GCC goal of 300 miles was often times a struggle, but it got me into a routine and back into a healthier mindset.

I exceeded my miles and donation goal with the help of a lot of friends and family. Seeing the support and donations come in definitely made me feel less alone during the pandemic.

With a heat wave and a baby in the house, my goal is a less lofty this year, but I’ve decided this is something I’m going to stick with! I’m riding for my mother and and mother-in-law, who are both cancer survivors, and for my boy Edison, who I hope will never have to endure such an awful thing like childhood cancer.
