My Story

12 years, they tell me. 12 years of riding at least 100 miles in a month. So this year I decided to mix things up a bit. I've created a team to inspire my community to join in the challenge, and I upped both the miles and fundraising goal. Doing this in September is.... a challenge. It's our High Holiday season, it's peak hurricane season (although we hope El Nino will keep things relatively quiet this year) and it's still pretty darned HOT around these parts. But none of these are anything compared to what the kids we're riding for are going through. Won't you join in this time? 12th time is the charm they say!

  • The season approacheth

    Wow, just 10 days to go! This year I started a team "TBS Cares" designed to get a group together and set a larger goal. So far we have 10 riders of various age groups. Hoping for a few more and then it will be an easy-peasy goal for us to reach. You can help by sponsoring a rider (like me!) or the team itself, or by joining the team and doing your own fundraising - it all counts towards the team goal. September 1st I'll be out on the road bright and early in my GCC jersey - so if you're driving in the area, watch for cyclists (as you always should do) sharing the road. Let's roll!
