I'm Riding For

"Lil" John

"Lil" John is my clone, who now stands a good 2 inches taller than me. He just finished Chemo a few weeks ago. While all his markers are looking good, he is in the limbo time between treatment and being declared cured. My "Lil" guy is holding on strong, and I am riding to spread the word and bring hope for my boy, and anyone else that has to deal with this awful disease.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Recovery is Slow

Some days are easier than others. He may be through chemo, but the effects can linger for months.

The reason I ride, my Lil John, is getting through a rough day by holding his buddy Cheeto.

It is only through research that the chemo Lil John had, that has eradicated his cancer, was developed.
