Jonathan Lorincz

Prior to his junior year at Coram Deo Classical school, Jon was diagnosed with cancer: T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The Lord blessed us with an additional two and a half years as Jonathan fought his cancer. During treatment, Jonathan had to withdraw from most of his classes since he spent the majority of the first year receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. In the spring of 2017, CDCS permitted Jon to walk with his peers/friends at graduation since He was within a couple of classes to reach completion. However, the Lord had different plans for him. In August of 2017 we received the heartbreaking news that Jonathan had relapsed. During the following months, Jon’s chemotherapy treatment caused significant side effects that ultimately prevented him from continuing his formal education. It pleased the Lord to take Jonathan home on April 14th, 2018.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
