I am riding for Leah Barrett

I met Leah years ago at Become Fit. She was this amazing woman who just inspired everyone around her. She lost her battle with ovarian cancer August 10, 2023. She fought cancer for 9+ years, shared her journey on her podcast called Precarious. Rest in peace Leah, you will be missed by many.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in my sixth Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Every day I see new posts on the GCC page of children getting diagnosed with cancer, going through many surgeries, starting their treatment, and posts of children who have lost their fight.

Every year I choose a team to ride for whose story reaches out to me. While all are fighters, I have chosen this year to ride for Team Kahleesi again. Kahleesi is now 4 and was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma when she was only 9 months old. She is currently in remission. There are no more chemotherapy options to fight her cancer.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
