This year, my family was hit with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Seeing how this event has impacted my family has been a truly harrowing experience, but seeing how this terrible event has brought us closer together has been extremely heartening.

I’m riding to raise awareness that cancer touched us all - maybe not directly, but definitely closer to home than we think it does.

I started with the GCC to give myself a reason to keep my mileage on the bike up, but now I come back every year to raise awareness that there is hope with every diagnosis.

Childhood cancer is another animal entirely. Nobody - least of all kids - should have to live with this diagnosis. So this year I’m riding for kids, and I’m riding for Mike. Love you, brother.
