David Pearson

This is my sixth annual tribute to David and my third to Archer. David Pearson was a true joyful spirit. He loved life and all those in it. Not only was he genuinely kind and loving, but he also took time to ensure all of those around him felt loved and included always. He had the gift of gentleness and compassion. The world lost the presence of David all too soon due to GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme). Archer is the 9 year old son of a dear friend who was diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2020. Archer, you are a beautiful, strong fighter of a terrible disease. My hope is that by raising money through activities such as the Challenge, we can continue to improve the treatment options available to you so that you can continue to fight...to grow... and to heal into the young man and adult you are meant to be. My heart and love is with you, Jillian, Brad, and Lola as you continue in your battle. I love you little buddy.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because 11 years ago, the world lost one of the most precious young lives to cancer, David Pearson. And even today, I am witnessing a dear friend's family struggle as her young son, Archer, battles the fight with Leukemia!

Cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. The goal of Team Ride for David is to contribute to those children who have and will have cancers like David and Archer and work towards the capabilities of providing a different outcome for their fights.
