My Story

This September, I am once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

I started riding for the challenge in June of 2018. My aunt had been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and I felt hopeless. I could ride and so I did. That year I did 400 miles. My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer in Nov 2018 and I signed up again to ride. June 2018 I did 600 miles and 600 miles again the next year. The last few years I completed 400 miles. I know this will be tough but it doesn't compare to fighting cancer. I’ve lost my mom and my aunt but I will continue to ride the challenge as it’s something to support research to cure cancer. Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
