Going into my 8th year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge! Between broken bones and surgeries, I've had challenges but nothing compared to what these brave kids go through. And I'm proud to be recognized as a GCC Champion! Any pains I feel on the bike are nothing compared to what these kids go through.

Why do I do it? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. And a few years ago it got personal since a good friend's granddaughter was diagnosed with a cancerous 5cm brain tumor. She's a fighter and will beat this!

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
