My Story
On March 3rd, 2003 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (also known as A.L.L.). I was an eight year old 3rd graded, an average kid. The only worries I should have had were what time I was going to get released for recess, not what time I was going to get released from the hospital.
Three months after my chemo started, I suffered a stroke from all of the spinal injections. I had a blood clot in my brain and my left side was paralyzed. I was told I would possibly be paralyzed for the rest of my life. It was slow going but I proved science wrong.
What better way to utilize my strength than to bike ride for the kids and fundraise at the same time. This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle to help and support Children's Cancer Research Fund develop research to one day find a cure to childhood cancer.
Thank you :)
