Lydia (aka Unicorn Girl)

Lydia (aka Unicorn Girl)

We used to joke about Lydia as she learned to talk and mature into a little girl...that she was everyone's BFF. That upon meeting her, she'd just talk your ear off, ask all the questions and always want you to sit by her. She just oozes love and has a knack of making people feel special. She quickly became known as the "Unicorn Girl" because her love for them was on full display. The unicorn has now become our symbol for Lydia because, like them, Lydia is one-of-a kind. Defies odds, has a magical personality....you get the idea! Lydia's tumor is rare and aggressive. But, she's already defying everything the doctors have expected. She handled her radiation remarkably...her tenacity and spunk even cross over to the doctors as her radiation oncologist was excited to see her follow up MRI. Her aggressive tumor was stable, but recently symptoms have returned and it's growing. Prayers for continued comfort and energy to enjoy family!

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
