I am riding in Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This will be my sixth year participating in the event.
Why do I push myself to ride so many miles? Because cancer has touched too many of us, and it is particularly insidious when it strikes a child. And, I might add, are all someone's child. I was recently reminded of this when visiting my 92 year old mother. She called me "her baby" and I am 69!
My first (and only) grandchild is just two years old. I can't imagine her having to fight such an insidious disease. Yet, there are parents and grandparents having to do just that. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am once again raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and to support Children's Cancer Research Fund. The money you donate will allow them to continue their work in funding lifesaving research to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
Your support does, and will, change little lives.
