My Story

This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

Robert

  • 2019 Challenge
    1 Mar 2019

This years G.C.C. goal is to raise $3000 to Fight Kids Cancer by pointing my bicycle 🚲 due South to my destination of Fernandina Beach Florida which is approximately 1300 miles away! My wife Mary, has volunteered to drive a chase vehicle with tools/extra parts, clothing, make hotel arrangements along the way, eat dinner with me every night and to push me when I will surely need pushing! It is a very ambitious endeavor, one of which I have given quite a bit of thought to. I cannot promise success, but I can promise 100 percent effort on my part! I’m thinking if it wasn’t meant to be difficult, it wouldn’t be called a challenge! (Right?????)
