My Story

6 Jun 2020

This September will be my 3rd year to take part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight childhood cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my personal challenge to ride 250 miles on my bike this June. Those funds will go to help these kids and support the Children's Cancer Research Fund which will allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

Susan

  • Covid-19 has delayed the Great Cycle Challenge
    3 Apr 2020

Over the last few weeks, the Great Cycle Challenge support manager's have been closely monitoring information about COVID-19 coming out from the CDC.

As we are all aware, the situation is fast-evolving, and this past week has seen the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic across the country as well as the heightening of measures to try to control it.

As a result, the decision has been made to postpone the 2020 Great Cycle Challenge to September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

It’s not a decision made lightly, but these are challenging times and we need to act responsibly and in the best interests of our riders.

Right now is the time to focus on our health and wellbeing, as individuals, communities and as a country.

All fundraising efforts thus far will be carried on to September.

On behalf of the children I am sending out my gratitude to all of you who have been able to make a donation thus far to support my ride.
