Anthony was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor located at the base of the brain, when he was just seven years old. He fought with incredible strength and courage, but after two years of battling this terrible disease, we lost him at the age of nine. No child should have to endure such brutal treatments, have the simple joys of childhood taken away, and ultimately lose their life to cancer. Sadly, in the past 30 years, only seven new drugs have been approved by the FDA specifically to treat childhood cancer. That simply isn’t enough. We need better, less toxic treatments. We need more research. And most importantly, we need a cure. I ride in Anthony’s memory and for all the children and families still fighting this devastating disease. Children should be living life, not fighting for it. ❤️
