In Honor of Ruth Smith and Memory of Michael Smith & Art Henne.

I'm riding in honor of my Mother-in-law in her fight against cancer. Also in memory of my dad, Mike, and my former pastor, Art Henne.

My Story

10 Aug 2025

This is my 8th year riding. I am riding in honor of my Mother-in-law, Ruth and memory of my dad, Mike, my pastor, Art, and a lot of friends and pets stolen by cancer. Did you know we lose an unimaginable 38 children a week in the US because of this disease.

The last 4 years I have failed to hit my 300 mileage and $3000 goal. So that has been adding to my motivation to make up for it this year. I am getting motivated and determined to hit and surpass my goal. So, lets do it and get started to fight childhood cancer!

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I haven't given up, I promise. Worked some later days, some meetings and some appointments, and warmer weather has put me behind schedule on my rides. But, I plan to do some long rides this weekend to get caught back up. I still aim to hit my 300 mile goal, God willing.

So far the donations have been awesome and very humbling! Thank you so much. I am just over $1000 from hitting my goal. Thanks again!

Air in tires, check.

All 10 sets of lights charged, check.
